Student Support & Resources
It is the mission of the University of Utah and the Bioscience Program to ensure that all students are supported and have access to a broad range of community resources to enhance their research training, professional development, and sense of community. These values are woven into the fabric of our Bioscience community and research training programs, all of which provides multiple resources and community support mechanisms for incoming and advanced students.
Matriculated graduate students come to our Bioscience PhD Programs from a wide range of experiences, backgrounds and disciplines, and we want you to bring your authentic selves to the research enterprise. Creative excellence and new discoveries are seeded and nurtured where YOU can thrive, collaborate, and lead innovative research. A comprehensive evaluation and recruitment process identifies hard-working, passionate rising scientists with great potential. Once you join, our goal is to provide an all-encompassing supportive environment that develops independence and leadership, drives discovery and scholarship, and builds broad networks. Come explore the opportunities to amplify your growth, training and professional trajectory in scientific research through our interdepartmental ‘umbrella’ Bioscience PhD graduate program.
